Obama delivers an impressive speech and so does Palin -- in fact, I would argue that her's was more substantive and real than his. If I were Biden i would be more than a little bit concerned about my upcoming debate with her.

Re: Sarah Palin Speech at the Republican National Convention

So many smart, stinging lines in there.

It was funny on the Fox News coverage - they had to prompt Howard Wolfson to criticize the speech, because he was lavishing praise on it.

I find it unusual that a lot of coverage points out that a speechwriter wrote it for her.

I don't recall ever hearing that clarification for Obama.

Re: Sarah Palin Speech at the Republican National Convention

CNN summed up the media’s total lack of any substantial response after Palin's speech.

- “Grab that person and let’s get their response to the speech.”
- “Hold on, they’re singing the national anthem. Let’s stand and listen for a moment.”
- “Wait, can we listen to this for a minute? This is the kind of country music that Americans rarely get to hear in a setting like this.”
- “We’re going to take a commercial break and be right back with our response.”

Come on CNN it took you 15 minutes, literally 15 minutes after Palin's speech, to pick your jaws up off the floor and you still couldn’t muster up a thought-provoking response or analysis.

One of my favorite lines from Palin, "But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate."

Overall this was an incredible speech. I'm just a little disappointed cause I thought speaker Christy Swanson was actually going to be vampire slayer, Kristy Swanson - http://www.kristyswansononl... :(
