<rss version="2.0"><channel><title>Obama 2.0 - Latest Comments in Photoshopping in Iran</title><link>http://obama2.disqus.com/</link><description>The truth about Barack Obama</description><language>en</language><lastBuildDate>Fri, 23 Jan 2009 16:32:45 -0000</lastBuildDate><item><title>Re: Photoshopping in Iran</title><link>http://obama2.com/archives/photoshopping-in-iran/#comment-5501416</link><description>A POET'S PSALM&lt;br&gt;TO PRESIDENT OBAMA:&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;Torture, tyranny, hedgemony kept in place&lt;br&gt;do not a freedom, liberty, democracy make--&lt;br&gt;And the words and blurbs we call "national security"&lt;br&gt;are really wheelings and dealings of corporate brutality--&lt;br&gt;So no matter the effusion of a president's eloquence, &lt;br&gt;it will not end the privileged few, their greed or opulence,&lt;br&gt;nor will it end the segration of those who have&lt;br&gt;from those who have nothing, nor will it truely&lt;br&gt;change by rebates of something their undjust condition--&lt;br&gt;Metaphors of articulation will not end wars and occupations,&lt;br&gt;and the turn of the screw will follow us &lt;br&gt;from recessions turned into depressions.&lt;br&gt;War keeps our nation poor.&lt;br&gt;And an eternal war on terror&lt;br&gt;will only keep us poor forever.&lt;br&gt;Tell me, what color is terror,&lt;br&gt;and what color is tyranny?&lt;br&gt;And is it fair to the rest of we millions and billions&lt;br&gt;to be swallowed by this beast as food for its belly?&lt;br&gt;War is not peace.&lt;br&gt;There is no peace through war.&lt;br&gt;Peace means peace and actions of peace, &lt;br&gt;and nothing more.&lt;br&gt;And change is change.&lt;br&gt;Change is not the same policies&lt;br&gt;substituted by new personalities.&lt;br&gt;change is not the same old faces&lt;br&gt;wearing the scars of the same old failures.&lt;br&gt;Change does not mean just more of the same.&lt;br&gt;"Change" means we do things differently&lt;br&gt;than we have ever done them before,&lt;br&gt;where words and faith turn to acts,&lt;br&gt;and those acts turn our tyranny into&lt;br&gt;tractors and ploughshares and rakes and hoes--&lt;br&gt;To build a nation from the fruits of war &lt;br&gt;will destroy the tree, the poison too bitter to eat.&lt;br&gt;We must stop spreading the seeds of hate,&lt;br&gt;and live by our labors of kindness,&lt;br&gt;and our deeds of forgiveness&lt;br&gt;so we can begin to harvest a brand new fruit&lt;br&gt;that will taste far sweeter from peace.</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">grant marcus</dc:creator><pubDate>Fri, 23 Jan 2009 16:32:45 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
